Mentor Website

After messaging my mentor, I found out that she has her own website and her own childrenswear shop. Her career started with her opening her own website, Lamb and Bear.

As she is a successful blogger, I thought I would have a look at her website.

This is the front page. It is quite simple and easy to use. I like the idea that it doesn’t take you straight to the blog, you can choose where you want to go if you want to go somewhere other than the blog. It also has a featured post section that changes every few seconds.

This is the blog page. Each post has been categorised, that way if you want to read about a certain theme then you can. I also like the instagram slider, it shows pictures from her instagram page. I like that it connects up all her socail media profile, which is important when blogging to get new interest.

This is her shop. All the products in the shop are designed by her, including the print. There in’t a whole lot there now, mainly because her shop isn’t her main income and is just something she does on the side. Because she set up her shop through her blog, it was easier for her to get customers because she already had traffic through her blog.

This is the page about the blog. This tells you about Alex herself, her children that she writes about, and what she does. She makes herself seem very friendly, asking people about opportunities with her, and advertising or sponsering she doesn’t mind doing. She has all the buttons for differnt socail media platforms so they will appeal to everyone.
